Looking for work in Tasmania

Today we went around to all the apple farms around Devonport to find out if they need any pickers and when the picking season really starts. A few farmers told us that we were here a bit early as the picking seasons only starts in 2 weeks time. We left our number with a couple of them and took theirs. We wanted to work before visiting Tasmania but as the picking season only starts in a couple weeks time we thought it would be a better idea to travel around Tasmania first, then work and leave the island to carry on our trip around Australia.
